At the Bessie Coleman Public Library in Chicago, children were pleasantly surprised when Barack Obama walked in smiling and began reading to them from the book "Flying Free: How Bessie Coleman’s Dreams Took Flight." This book illustrates the life of Bessie Coleman, the first African American woman pilot, symbolizing the overcoming of racial and social barriers. After the event, Obama shared on platform X that he had a pleasant experience with the children. This visit is part of the preparatory initiatives for the Obama Presidential Center, which will include a new branch of the library and is set to open in June next year. The cultural complex, valued at 850 million dollars, will provide a community space for meetings and the exchange of ideas, after overcoming legal and infrastructure obstacles.
