Five people were injured on Wednesday morning in Thessaloniki, Greece, following attacks with homemade incendiary devices on the homes of three leaders of the right-wing party New Democracy.
The attacks occurred rapidly, within about 15 minutes, targeting the residences of the party's executive committee president, Zisis Ioakimovic, former deputy Savvas Anastasiades, and former candidate Afroditi Nestora.
The police stated that the devices used were made from butane bottles and that the attacks appear to have been carried out by the same group. The investigation has been taken over by the anti-terrorism police, which is gathering video evidence to identify the perpetrators.
The government spokesperson, Pavlos Marinakis, condemned the attacks, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and calling for the immediate arrest of those responsible. Left-wing opposition parties also condemned these violent acts, which are common in Greece.
