The German police announced the arrest of a 16-year-old suspect following an attack at Welfen Gymnasium in Bavaria, where several people were injured. The incident occurred in a town located less than 100 kilometers from Munich. The police urged the public to avoid the area and stated that the exact number of victims and the severity of the injuries are still being clarified. According to Deutsche Welle, at least two victims are two girls with serious injuries.
A support center has been established at a fire station in the town to provide information and psychological assistance to the families of the students. Germany has been affected by several attacks in schools and public spaces in recent years, including a recent incident in September 2025, when a 17-year-old Kosovo Albanian attacked a teacher and others in Essen.
