An armed man was shot dead on Sunday morning by agents of the Secret Service and a deputy sheriff from Palm Beach County after he breached the secure perimeter of the Mar-a-Lago residence, belonging to President Donald Trump.

The man, who was carrying a gun and a fuel can, was observed at the north gate of the property. President Trump was at the White House at the time, although he usually spends weekends at Mar-a-Lago. The identity of the man has not been disclosed.
