An armed man opened fire in the center of Athens, injuring several people

On Tuesday, an armed man carried out a shooting attack in central Athens, injuring several people in two distinct locations. The first incident occurred at the EFKA headquarters, the social security institution, where the attacker shot at an employee, causing injuries. After this attack, the suspect fled but opened fire again at the Court of Appeals in Athens, injuring more people. Images from state media show ambulance crews transporting the victims to hospitals.

Authorities found the weapon used, but the suspect, an 89-year-old man, has not been apprehended.
