The Armani fashion house has started an informal auction for the sale of a minority stake in shares, according to Giorgio Armani's will.

Representatives of Armani have contacted potential buyers for the sale of a 15% stake in the company, according to the wishes of Giorgio Armani. L'Oréal is among the companies approached, but investment funds have not been included in the discussions. The designer's will stipulates the sale of this stake and another one of up to 55% within 18 months, prioritizing partners from the luxury industry. Brand valuations range between 5 and 12 billion euros.
