Apple continues to reorganize its production chain, and the AirPods reflect this strategy. In the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam became the main production center for AirPods, with 62% of global deliveries, due to competitive costs and efficient infrastructure. Important partners, such as Luxshare ICT and Goertek, operate in northern Vietnam, facilitating quick deliveries. Although China has decreased to 34% of AirPods assembly, it remains essential for supplying specialized components. India, however, is becoming a viable alternative, reaching 4% of global AirPods production in 2026, up from 1% in 2025. Apple is accelerating its expansion in India, supported by partners like Foxconn, to reduce dependence on China and Vietnam, in the context of trade and geopolitical tensions.
