Julian Brown, a 21-year-old from the United States, created a device capable of converting plastic waste into gasoline and diesel through a thermal decomposition process known as pyrolysis. His project began with tests conducted at home, where he learned how to shred plastic and control the temperature of the mixture, avoiding direct burning of the material. Pyrolysis allows for the breakdown of plastic at high temperatures, generating gases, liquids, and a solid residue. Although his initial goal was not mass production, his success led to the creation of a startup called NatureJab. However, the project requires independent validations and safety tests before it can be considered a viable solution to the plastic pollution problem. Brown represents an example of innovation in waste recycling, but it is essential that the system be rigorously verified to ensure its efficiency and safety.
