Marco Rubio stated that the Los Chone Killers group has committed numerous attacks against civilians, law enforcement, and government officials, also being responsible for high-profile assassinations of public figures. As a result of these activities, the group's leaders and individuals associated with them may be subject to U.S. sanctions and criminal prosecution.

The Trump administration, in collaboration with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, is committed to protecting the continent from the invasion of illegal drugs and cutting off the revenue sources of narcoterrorists. Ecuador, which was once a paradise of peace, has become an epicenter of international drug trafficking, with Colombian cocaine exported from the port of Guayaquil.

Daniel Noboa, a close associate of President Donald Trump, has imposed nighttime travel restrictions and mobilized the military in several provinces as part of a U.S.-backed campaign to combat criminal gangs.

At the same time, the United States has added several Latin American groups to the list of terrorist organizations, including the Venezuelan gang "Tren de Aragua" and the Mexican Sinaloa cartel.
