A group of 30 American psychiatrists and other medical professionals specializing in mental health has drafted a letter stating that President Donald Trump should be removed from office due to serious mental health issues. They did not consult Trump directly but based their assessment on observed behaviors in his public appearances. The doctors mention cognitive function deterioration, drowsiness during important events, and impaired judgment, arguing that Trump poses a "clear and present danger" to the world, having access to nuclear weapons. The letter invokes the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which allows the vice president and the cabinet to declare the president unable to perform his duties. The signatories emphasize the urgency of the situation, considering the accumulated psychiatric symptoms of Trump. They call for immediate measures to remove him from office, given the impact he may have on global security. Donald Trump, who will turn 80, is set to undergo an annual health check, and previous findings have indicated a good state of health.
