The American Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, stated that President Donald Trump is the one who will decide the "final stage" of the war against Iran, emphasizing that the military strategy of the United States ultimately depends on the decisions of the leader at the White House. Hegseth announced that Tuesday will be "the most intense day of strikes" launched by the American army against Iranian targets since the beginning of the conflict, with the highest number of fighter jets, bombers, and attacks.

The American official stated that the military operations aim to destroy Iran's missile and drone capabilities, strike the Iranian naval fleet, and weaken the military and industrial base of the regime, insisting that the U.S. and its allies "will win" the conflict. Hegseth also specified that, although the fighting continues, the Trump administration aims to avoid a prolonged war and that the objective is to force Iran to yield to military pressure.
