Amazon pays 27 million dollars in compensation to Prime subscribers in the US, after a lawsuit for automatic renewals without consent.

The plaintiffs accused the company of automatically extending subscriptions between 2016 and 2019 without the explicit consent of users, thus violating federal law. Amazon will refund between 5 and 10 dollars to each affected customer and will modify procedures to ensure transparency in subscription renewals.
