Amazon has announced that it will double its investments in India, reaching over 35 billion dollars by 2030, alongside the nearly 40 billion already invested. This initiative aims to stimulate exports, create jobs, and innovate in the field of artificial intelligence. The company will focus its investments on digitalization, physical and digital infrastructure, including transport networks and data centers.
Senior Director Amit Agarwal emphasized Amazon's role as a catalyst for economic growth in India. Other corporations, such as Microsoft and Google, have also announced significant investments in India, which is rapidly transforming into a global technology hub. However, the strict digital regulations in the country raise concerns related to human rights.
