The Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has led to the death of 600 people, according to the latest report published by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday.

The information was provided by Congolese health authorities and reflects the seriousness of the situation. Ebola is a viral disease that is transmitted through direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected individuals and causes severe symptoms, including hemorrhagic fever. Authorities in the DRC continue to fight against the epidemic, implementing prevention and control measures to limit the spread of the virus.

WHO is collaborating with the Congolese government to provide assistance and necessary resources in this health crisis. The epidemic underscores the need for a rapid and effective response to emerging infectious diseases.
