Ulrich Siegmund, a member of the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD), has been labeled 'the most dangerous man in Germany' by Spiegel magazine, a few weeks before the elections in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, scheduled for September 6.

This labeling comes in the context where AfD, known for its anti-immigration positions, has so far failed to participate in a governing coalition in Germany, with all other parties refusing to collaborate with it. At a campaign event, Siegmund stated that this cover represents 'very good advertising' for him, sharing a video on Instagram in which he signs copies of the magazine.

Although the branch in Saxony-Anhalt is considered far-right extremism, a recent poll shows that AfD could obtain 43% of the votes, having a lead of 20 percentage points over its closest rival.
