Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in St. Petersburg on Monday, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Araghchi stated that the visit represents an opportunity to discuss developments related to the war, referring to the conflict in the Middle East. The Iranian official emphasized that meetings between Iran and Russia are routine and address both international issues and bilateral relations. Before the visit to Russia, Araghchi had discussions in Pakistan and Oman, focusing on the resumption of negotiations with the USA and security in the Strait of Hormuz. He highlighted the importance of dialogue with coastal states to ensure common interests. In addition to the meeting with Putin, Araghchi will also discuss with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
