A tragedy occurred in Germany, where a 36-year-old train conductor died on Wednesday following an attack by a passenger who was traveling without a ticket. The incident took place on Monday in Landstuhl, near Kaiserslautern, when the conductor attempted to remove the passenger without a ticket, at which point he was violently struck in the head.

Deutsche Bahn confirmed that the man died from his injuries. The company's director, Evelyn Palla, emphasized that this is a dark day for railway workers and condemned the rise in violence against staff. The railway union EVG has called for additional security measures on board trains. The attacker, a 26-year-old man, has been detained and is in preventive custody, according to information provided by the Prosecutor's Office.
