A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Guangxi region in southwestern China, near the city of Liuzhou. Authorities ordered the evacuation of over 7,000 people from vulnerable areas, and so far, two deaths have been confirmed, with one person reported missing. Four other individuals have been transported to the hospital, but their condition is not critical.

Rescue teams continue search and rescue operations while assessing the extent of the damage. Initial reports indicate that 13 buildings have collapsed following the earthquake, causing panic among residents. Railway authorities have warned of possible disruptions to train services in the context of inspections of the railway infrastructure affected by the earthquake.
