Paul Doyle, a 54-year-old Briton, was sentenced on Tuesday to 21 and a half years in prison for his attack on May 26, 2025, when he deliberately drove his car into a crowd celebrating Liverpool's Premier League victory. Following the incident, 134 people were injured, including 8 children. During the trial, Doyle admitted his guilt, explaining that he acted out of anger. Prosecutor Paul Greaney highlighted the devastating impact of his actions, which caused horror among the parade participants.

The defense attorney mentioned that Doyle is filled with regret for his actions. Judge Andrew Menary described Doyle's behavior as incomprehensible and emphasized his contempt for human life. Footage of the incident showed the chaos generated, with furious fans trying to reach the driver of the car.
