Two Italians, a 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, have been hospitalized in a Milan hospital with suspected Ebola after presenting symptoms such as high fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. The woman, in a more serious condition, also shows mild neurological symptoms and may be transferred to intensive care.

The two young people spent three months in Uganda, at the border with Congo, where the Ebola epidemic has led to the death of over 200 people. Health authorities have activated the necessary protocols and are conducting tests to determine whether the symptoms are compatible with Ebola or malaria. If the disease is confirmed, the patients will be transferred to Rome, where there is a specialized health unit.
