The County Emergency Hospital 'Dr. Constantin Andreoiu' in Ploiești is facing an acute personnel crisis, with a deficit of 1,200 positions out of the 2,670 needed. Manager Dr. Sebastian Toma stated that this situation affects essential departments, such as ICU, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine, and it is difficult to cover the doctors' shifts. Although efforts have been made to attract doctors from other units, the problem persists, and patients are redirected to hospitals in Târgoviște, Buzău, or even the Capital in severe cases. Toma emphasizes that, in addition to the lack of specialists, some doctors do not respect their on-call obligations, which exacerbates the situation. Additionally, the hospital is waiting for two residents who will take the specialty exam, in an attempt to improve human resources.
