Paracetamol can have serious health effects, including increased blood pressure, risk of heart attack and stroke, allergies, liver and kidney problems, and blood disorders.

A 2022 study found an association between taking paracetamol frequently and increased blood pressure, which may increase the risk of heart disease or stroke. There is also research to suggest that certain variants of effervescent paracetamol could pose dangers if taken long-term.
