The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) has issued recommendations to protect the population during the yellow code of frost. These include avoiding long outdoor trips, dressing appropriately in warm clothing, protecting extremities from the cold, and consuming protein-rich foods. Additionally, INSP emphasizes the importance of following hygiene rules to prevent respiratory infections. The Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) recommends checking road conditions and properly equipping vehicles for winter. Meteorologists announce extremely cold weather, with temperatures dropping to as low as -20 degrees, and snowfall in several areas of the country. The yellow code warnings particularly target Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, and Transylvania, with minimum temperatures between -19 and -9 degrees. Authorities are monitoring the situation and are prepared to intervene in case of emergency.
