The tragic incident took place at the County Hospital in Baia Mare, where a patient hospitalized in the Cardiology ward died after intravenous administration of an antibiotic to which she was allergic. The victim's family lodged a complaint with the public prosecutor's office, claiming that the nurse had mixed up the patients' beds. Although the allergy was noted in the medical chart, the error led to a severe reaction and the doctors failed to save her. The hospital and the Order of Nurses have launched internal investigations and police are investigating the circumstances to determine who is responsible.
