According to a report by Save the Children Romania, anxiety remains the most common mental health disorder among children who received psycho-emotional therapy last year. This is followed by emotional disorders and family difficulties, such as parental divorce. Within the National Children's Forum, participants made proposals to improve mental health, including the introduction of health education in schools and the expansion of free psychological counseling. Additionally, children are asking for a reduction in homework and more time for recreational activities. The World Health Organization emphasizes that mental health is a major public health issue, with an increasing number of adolescents affected by mental disorders. Representatives of Save the Children warn that stigma and lack of early intervention can exacerbate emotional problems, and the effects of untreated issues can negatively influence adult life. The proposals discussed with authorities include education about healthy relationships, access to psychological counseling, and campaigns for responsible internet use. Recent data shows a worrying emotional state, with only 3 out of 5 children frequently feeling happy.
