Informat.ro returns with a series of events that Bucharest residents can enjoy in their free time without having to spend any money. The most important event of this period is perhaps "Open Streets - Bucharest", a project organized by the Bucharest City Hall, through ARCUB, which returns with its sixth edition.


The city will thus become an urban promenade between April 25 and October 11. Below you can see the program for the first weekend as well as other events.



Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade – April 25-26, 10:00 - 21:00, Calea Victoriei (Public transport: M2 Piața Victoriei, M2 Piața Universității, Bus 100, 205) Art/Recreation – Urban pedestrian and street performance. The first weekend in 2026 when the center of the Capital becomes exclusively pedestrian. The program includes street theater performances by Teatrul Masca, juggling acts, and relaxation areas. Admission is free.


International Dance Day – UNATC Performance – April 29, 18:30, Piața Revoluției (Public transport: M2 Piața Romană, Bus 122, 137, 100) Art/Dance – Public flashmob performance. Students from the Choreography Department of UNATC celebrate Dance Day with an outdoor show. The focus is on interaction with passersby and promoting contemporary dance as a universal language of social communication. Admission is free.


Planetary Alignment – Nighttime Astronomical Observations – April 25, 20:30 - 23:00, "Vasile Urseanu" Astronomical Observatory (Public transport: M2 Piața Romană, Bus 381, 100) Science/Hobby – Thematic astronomical observations. A special session dedicated to a rare astronomical phenomenon visible in April 2026. The public has access to telescopes on the terrace to observe the alignment of planets in the night sky, under the guidance of specialists. Admission costs 10 lei.


Exhibition "Botanic Body" – April 24-30, 11:00 - 19:00, Rezidența9, Str. I.L. Caragiale 32 (Public transport: M2 Piața Romană, Bus 133, Troleibuz 79, 86) Art/Environment – Multidisciplinary exhibition. An exhibition project that explores the relationship between the human body and plant elements through drawing, installations, and sound. The event aims to raise awareness of the fragility of nature and the biological connection with the environment. Admission is free.


Retrospective Paul Neagu – Exceptional Works – Daily until May 31, 12:00 - 20:00, Retros Design Space (Public transport: Bus 301, 331, M2 Aviatorilor) Art – Exhibition of sculpture and conceptual design. The exhibition presents works by Paul Neagu, one of the most relevant Romanian artists internationally. Drawings and sculptures that explore concepts such as "the cell" and "the anthropocosmos" are displayed, offering a rare perspective on philosophical design. Admission is free.


Films from the UNATC Archive – Program 10 (1997-1999) – April 28, 19:00, Eforie Cinematheque (Public transport: M2 Piața Universității, Bus 100, 381) Cinema – Archive short film screenings. A special screening of school films made by established Romanian directors during their student years (the '90s). The event is part of a program to recover cinematic memory and offers the opportunity for discussions about the evolution of visual language. Admission is free.
