The derby between Dinamo and FCSB has polarized the attention in Romanian football, marking both spectacular moments on and off the pitch. At international level, Barcelona and Real Madrid continue their La Liga battle, while in tennis, Jaqueline Cristian is on the brink of a new trophy.
FOTBALL Domestic
- Dinamo/FCSB: FCSB won the derby against Dinamo 2-1, thanks to a spectacular goal scored by Baba Alhassan in the 85th minute of the match. Transfers
- Târnovanu: Ștefan Târnovanu is being courted by Galatasaray. The Turks have offered €4.5m for the champions' goalkeeper, but Gigi Becali claims there is no question of Târnovanu leaving for that amount.

- Novak Djokovic: Novak Djokovic lost the Miami final to 19-year-old Czech Jakub Mensik. The tennis player defeated his idol in two sets, 7-6, 7-6, also taking advantage of the fatigue shown by Djokovic.
