An official of the European Union Council has confirmed that, starting in July, the institution will launch a project that will allow collaboration with content creators to reach new audiences and inform the public about the Council's activities.

This initiative comes against the backdrop of the increasing popularity of far-right figures in the EU, such as Jordan Bardella, who have amassed a significant number of followers on social media. Influencers will have access to certain areas of the Council's headquarters in Brussels, areas that are currently reserved for accredited journalists. However, they will not be able to ask questions to ministers and leaders, being constantly accompanied by Council staff. It is expected that up to 10 content creators will be invited to each event, having limited access, but emphasizing that the goal is to present the Council's activities to the European public.

Additional details about the project remain limited, with officials wanting to keep the discussions confidential.
