<p>The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) warns that there is a 70% probability that the 2025-2029 period will exceed +1.5°C, with risks of heat waves, extreme precipitation and melting glaciers. 2024 was already the warmest year on record, with an average temperature of +1.55°C. The WMO stresses that every additional fraction of a degree worsens the impact on economies and ecosystems.
