The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced that the wood deposits near the Capital have been checked by the National Forestry Guard, discovering that wood was being sold without provenance documents.

As a result of the inspections, three criminal cases were opened, and the total value of the damages, confiscations, and fines imposed by the commissioners of the National Forest Guard amounts to 365,000 lei. Additionally, the initiation of extensive inspections across the national territory has been announced, aimed at ensuring compliance with forestry regulations and combating illegal logging.
