Remus Pricopie emphasized on Facebook that the support of Nicușor Dan by five USR members is unstatutory and asked them to be serious. He emphasized that, despite the support, Dan has no real chances in the second round, and assessments suggest that he could lose to a pro-Russian candidate. Pricopie questioned the motives behind this support and noted that USR should focus on scenarios for round 2. USR President Elena Lasconi challenged the decision to endorse Dan as an abuse. The BEC banned Dan's campaign, and USR announced that it will contest the decision.
