Nicușor Dan said he is open to negotiations with Crin Antonescu and Elena Lasconi to avoid a presidential final between George Simion and Victor Ponta

In a program broadcast by Fanatik, the independent candidate Nicușor Dan announced that he is willing to discuss and negotiate with his counter-candidates, Crin Antonescu and Elena Lasconi.

Asked if he would withdraw in favor of Crin Antonescu or Elena Lasconi if they were better in the polls, Nicușor Dan said, "it's a very fair proposal because the worst thing for Romania would be a final between Ponta and Simion. Let's see how the polls evolve until then. I hope such a final is not confirmed. We'll see in 2-3 weeks".

Journalist Denise Rifai came back with the question: "If this Ponta - Simion final is confirmed, would you be willing to negotiate with Antonescu and Lasconi?"

Nicușor Dan said: "The answer is yes because there is nothing worse for Romania than a Ponta - Simion final".
