The Ministry of Internal Affairs has identified and reported fake videos on TikTok presenting George Simion as the winner of the presidential elections, using deepfake techniques

<p>MAI has identified accounts on TikTok that distribute artificial intelligence-generated material, including deepfakes, aimed at discrediting presidential candidates. One account in particular, @memefacator, was reported for misinformative content. The MIA also warns of false information about election fraud that mimics the visual identity of news websites. The ministry has started legal proceedings to check possible violations of the law and encourages citizens to report suspicious content.
