Almost 1.8 million Bucharest residents are expected at the polls on Sunday to elect their mayor. In Bucharest, for the vacant position left after Nicușor Dan was elected president, 17 candidates have registered and remained on the ballot, of which two - Vlad Gheorghe and Orlando Teodorovici - later announced their withdrawal, one in favor of the liberal candidate Ciprian Ciucu, and the other in favor of the social-democrat Daniel Băluță.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, INSCOP Research will conduct, with the support of Informat.ro, a telephone opinion poll on election day. The results of the sociological research will be publicly presented for informat.ro at 21:00. The poll will be representative of the non-institutionalized population that declares that: they have their residence or domicile in the municipality of Bucharest, are 18 years old or older, and have presented themselves to vote. Data will be collected through telephone interviews, the research not being an exit poll, the sample and margin of error to be announced after the completion of the poll.
