The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced an additional 60 million euros for social scholarships, aimed at supporting 40,000 students from Romania. This money, coming from European funds, will be used to prevent and combat university dropout. Pîslaru emphasized the importance of these scholarships for students from vulnerable backgrounds, ensuring that no one will give up their studies for financial reasons.
He also mentioned that scholarships are not just financial aid, but also an opportunity for young people to become valuable professionals for Romania. This initiative is part of the Education and Employment Program, funded by the European Social Fund Plus, and will continue to support the education of young people in the academic year 2025-2026.
