Luciana Antoci expressed criticism regarding the Romanian language and literature programs for the 9th grade, recently launched for public debate. She argues that these are designed more for first-year students at the Faculty of Letters, rather than being adapted to the needs of teenagers starting high school. Antoci emphasizes the importance of a program that develops students' curiosity and provides them with a solid general culture, encouraging them to discover the world through reading.
She also draws attention to functional illiteracy, which has reached alarming levels, and underscores the need for a swift response from schools to combat this phenomenon. With extensive experience in education, Antoci was appointed as an advisor in September and aims to contribute to the improvement of the educational system.
