Education Minister Daniel David has said he does not support the reintroduction of theses and a return to the semester system, arguing that summative assessments are essential, whatever they are called. He emphasized that the current practice is more efficient and that frequent changes confuse students. David called for a focus on improving the existing system without changing it again, pointing out the lack of psycho-pedagogical arguments for such a return.
