The Ministry of Education has announced that 98.6% of tenured teachers will continue to work in the same schools, following the increase of the teaching norm by two hours per week. This measure, part of the Fiscal-Budgetary Law No 141/2025, aims to improve interaction between students and teachers. Next week, the ministry will distribute the rules for substitutes and announce the hours available for hourly pay. It is also considering cutting red tape to support teachers.
