YESS Power, the energy storage solutions brand of the Turkish group Topkapı Endüstri, has successfully tested and delivered a 30MW/60MWh battery energy storage system for the 55 MW Novaci solar park of Mey Energy in North Macedonia. This project represents the first large-scale integration of a storage system into a solar power plant in North Macedonia, contributing to grid stabilization by storing energy during surplus periods and delivering it during times of high demand.

In the context of increasing renewable capacities in Southeast Europe, YESS Power emphasizes the importance of developing storage infrastructure to manage system imbalances. Romania is among the markets being analyzed for expansion, considering investments in renewable energy. The Novaci solar power plant, operational since 2023, generates approximately 85 GWh annually, equivalent to the consumption of 30,000 households, supporting the transition to a cleaner energy mix.

YESS Power collaborates with Cubenergy for comprehensive engineering, installation, and management services, having over 40 years of experience in the field. The company estimates an acceleration of investments in energy storage systems in the region, amid the growth of installed renewable energy capacity.
