At the end of May 2025, voluntary pension funds had assets of RON 6.10 billion, an increase of 21% compared to the same period last year. The majority of investments were local, with 95% of the funds and 88% denominated in lei. The largest assets were in government securities (RON 3.89 billion), followed by equities (RON 1.57 billion). In total, there were 899,342 participants in these funds.
