The meeting of the National Tripartite Council for Social Dialogue will take place at 14:30, with the main subject being the agreement on the increase or freezing of the guaranteed gross minimum wage. Prime Minister Bolojan announced on October 23 a "principle agreement" within the coalition to maintain the current minimum wage of 4,050 lei gross in 2026.

The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, emphasized the necessity of respecting the law, which provides for an increase in the minimum wage, mentioning that over two million people live on salaries between 4,050 and 4,500 lei gross. Manole stated that it is unacceptable for workers to live at risk of poverty and highlighted the importance of increasing the minimum wage, which could vary between 300 and 700 lei gross. He expects an intense debate between supporters and opponents of the minimum wage increase.
