Transgaz has started the bidding process for the construction of the Segarcea–Băilești–Calafat–Plenița gas pipeline, a 110 km pipeline that will supply natural gas to one third of the population of Dolj County.

Transgaz has launched the tender for a 110 km gas pipeline that will connect localities in the south-west of Dolj County, including Băilești and Calafat. The investment of 244 million lei, estimated to be completed in 18 months, will ensure natural gas supply for one third of the population. The project is part of the national strategy for expanding the gas network, playing a role in economic development and improving the quality of life.
