According to data from the Ministry of Finance, in September 2025, the number of occupied positions in public institutions and authorities in Romania was approximately 1.3 million, registering a decrease of almost 4,000 compared to the previous month. Compared to January 2025, the number of occupied positions was lower by almost 50,000. Over 60% of these positions were in central public administration, highlighting the concentration of human resources in this sector. The most occupied positions were in the Ministries of Education, Internal Affairs, Defense, Finance, and Health, underscoring government priorities in these areas.
