He explained that, starting in 2023, the capping contributed to reducing inflation from 15.5% to 6.5%. Barbu mentioned that prices have decreased by 7-33% due to this measure and emphasized the political responsibility regarding potential price increases. He also indicated that, in the absence of consensus within the governing coalition, an amendment will be proposed to extend the capping.
