The Romanian government approved, on Thursday, the Government Decisions through which the Ministry of Finance will transfer over 2 billion lei for the payment of arrears. Almost 2 billion lei will be allocated to the National Health Insurance House, of which 964 million lei for the reimbursement of medications and medical services in hospitals, and 1 billion lei for the reimbursement of medical leave.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive 46 million lei, of which 26 million lei for settling debts to international organizations. The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, emphasized that these measures are possible due to a more rigorous management of public spending and do not affect the budget deficit, respecting the target of 8.4% of GDP.
