The Competition Council announced the authorization of the transaction through which Celco SA, a manufacturer of masonry materials, intends to acquire the company Prefab SA, specialized in the production of construction materials. Celco SA, part of the Celco group, produces aerated concrete, adhesives, and dry mortars, having in its portfolio a lime factory and a limestone quarry. Additionally, the group offers warehousing services, real estate rentals, as well as hotel services. Prefab SA produces aerated concrete, prefabricated elements, concrete pipes for water networks, and supplies ready-mixed concrete. The Competition Council concluded that the acquisition will not create significant obstacles to competition in the Romanian market, and the decision will be published later on the authority's website.
