In December 2025, the annual inflation rate was 9.69%, according to INS, with the highest price increases recorded in services (11.00%). Non-food goods increased by 10.48%, while food goods rose by 7.75%. The most significant price increases for food were for coffee (23.94%) and fresh fruits (15.19%). Additionally, prices for milk, bread, and beef have increased considerably. In the services category, CFR tickets increased by 24.40%, and air services by 18.37%.

For non-food goods, electricity had the highest increase, at 60.91%, following the removal of price caps. The year 2025 ended with an average annual inflation rate of 7.3%, compared to 5.6% in 2024. It is important to mention that no price decreases were recorded in December 2025 compared to the previous year, and the support schemes for capping electricity prices significantly influenced the inflation calculation.
