In May 2025, 3,624,191 children received state allowances, with the highest numbers in Bucharest and the counties of Iași, Suceava, Constanța, Cluj and Bacău. The total amount of allowances was 1.213 billion lei, and the average amount paid per beneficiary was 334.88 lei. The lowest allocations were recorded in Tulcea, Caras-Severin, Mehedinți and Covasna counties.
