Hanwha Aerospace, the company that will supply K9 howitzers to the Romanian army, will invest in a factory in Romania.

The factory will produce 155 mm howitzers, the project being part of a wider collaboration to modernize the Romanian army. The company has signed a contract with the Ministry of National Defense to supply 54 K9 self-propelled howitzers and 36 K10 ammunition resupply vehicles. Former Economy Minister Radu Ștefan Oprea emphasized the commitment of the government and Korean partners to the project.
