Signal Iduna has received ASF's approval for the acquisition of the majority stake in Garanta Asigurări, thus strengthening its presence on the Romanian market.

This transaction is an important step in Signal Iduna's expansion strategy in Romania, aimed at improving its insurance offer. Tiberiu Maier, the company's CEO, emphasized the commitment to developing the local market. For the time being, the two companies will operate independently, but in the medium term it is envisaged to integrate activities to create a unified portfolio. Signal Iduna is a leading German financial group active in European markets since 2008.
